EveryoneThe AOP Open Awards is the only photography competition in which professionals and amateurs compete on equal terms. There are no categories or themes - the purpose is simply to showcase outstanding individual images. The 2010 Open Exhibition has now been launched online - to see all this year's selected images please click here. All visitors to the online exhibition also have the opportunity to participate in the Public Vote and vote for their favourite image to win the Public Choice award. Votes can be cast until 1pm on Thursday 19th August and everyone who takes part in the Public Vote will be entered into a prize draw to win a collection of photographic books. The 2010 Open Exhibition at the AOP Gallery has now been extended for an extra two weeks and will run from Tuesday 17th August to Thursday 9th September. Photographers
The 2010 Photographers Awards competition is now closed. Each year the competition is open to Full or Provisional Members of the AOP (click here for info on how to join), plus this year we also included a non-member category open to agencies and publishers. The 2010 competition featured a fresh category structure and we also introduced brand new categories to recognise changing technology and show the relevance of great photography in the creative industry as a whole. The First Round Judging took place over the last week of April and the first week of May. Entrants were contacted on 14th May to inform them whether they had progressed to the Second Round. The Second Round Judging has now been postponed to the week commencing 12th July and entrants will be informed by the end of July as to whether they have been selected for the exhibition and book. All successful entrants will then be required to submit high resolution files for use in the book. Click here for more information about the Photographers Awards. |
