Özant Kamaci has been crowned the AOP Student Photographer of the Year 2009. Kamaci has won an EOS 5D Mark2 kit with EF24-105mm LIS Lens from our sponsor Canon and will receive a double page spread in the 2010 AOP Photographers Award book, a day’s work experience with a high-profile AOP member, plus extensive press coverage. As if that isn’t enough, we may also use his winning images to promote the AOP Student Awards and AOP Student in the following year.

This year the judges awarded two Merit prizes and each receive a Canon IXUS 85is. The merit winners are Philip Haynes for his series of images in the Lifestyle & Portrait Category and Laura Liebnitz for her detail shots in the Still Life Category. Plus all finalists have their winning images on show until 5th June, as well as being the main feature in the Student Awards Book.
