The AOP OpenThe AOP Open is run by the Association of Photographers and is the only competition where professionals and amateurs compete on a level playing field. There are no categories or themes in this competition so the choice of what you enter is entirely up to the photographer.
The chosen 85 images will be displayed in the AOP Gallery, on the Awards website and will be published in the Open Book. The Open is now in its ninth year and attracts around 2,000 entries from all over the world.
Why should I enter? When entering the AOP Open you have the chance to: • Be judged by five of the photographic industries top professionals • Have your image exhibited in a top London photographic gallery in the heart of Shoreditch • Win fabulous photographic prizes • Be published in the very first AOP Open Book (published in August 2008) • Compete against your peers and some of the top photographers in the UK and abroad • Have your images endorsed by THE professional body representing photographers
What should I enter? The AOP Open is looking to showcase individual images which display your talent as a photographer. Capturing moments, emotions, objects or environments, the theme is not judged in this competition, it is simply a search for outstanding images.
